- I just have to recommend Lauricella and Sons for their work on my house! David and Dave and outstanding people and do an outstanding job! They explained the process to me before they started working and then they did a great job of showing me each step. I highly recommend them for any shoring or foundation work. They know their stuff! You need to hire them if you live in and around New Orleans! Very happy I reached out to the best for the project on my old house uptown!- John Dimos. 2/21/2019
- THIS IS THE BEST FOUNDATION REPAIR COMPANY IN THE NEW ORLEANS AREA!!! Lauricella & Sons is the only foundation repair company you should ever allow to work on your home. Mr. David and Mr. Dave are master-craftsmen, dedicated to professionalism, honesty, and integrity in all they do. They turned my 80-year old Uptown home from a slightly shaky place with ‘bouncy’ floors into a rock-solid fortress that will outlive me! Using the highest quality materials and equipment, they replaced and reinforced piers (and added three new ones), replaced beams, and replaced, reinforced, and added joists, all to ensure a strong foundation. They even took the time to the time to bundle and move dangling wiring up off the ground, re-arrange some plumbing for greater over-all efficiency, and clean out detritus under the house. They believe in going above-and-beyond, and you can count on them to bring a dedication to excellence to every job they undertake! It was a privilege to have the Lauricellas work on my home, and I am grateful for their honesty and meticulous attention to detail. In a world where the focus is often on ‘quick turn-around’ rather than ‘quality craftsmanship,’ the Lauricellas are head-and-shoulders above every other foundation company in the area. They believe in show-and-tell when they work on your home, making a point of explaining what they’re doing and answering any questions you may have. You can trust them implicitly and count on them to ‘do it right’ – they never cut corners, and they ensure their customers are completely satisfied. It took me less than day to see how Lauricella & Sons have earned and maintained their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and I am honored to give them my highest recommendation. You can absolutely trust all the 5-star reviews of their work – nobody does it better!- melanie christenson. 10/16/2018
- When you work 10+ hours a day, you have to rely on others to help you maintain your personal effects and the last thing you need is to worry that the contractor you hired to perform major, expensive work on your house is sub par. David and his son Dave are without question some on the finest people I have ever met in my life. They took care of my house like it was their own and relieved me of significant worry while I was concentrating on doing the best job for my employer. They replaced the fore and aft beams on my hundred year old home, rebuilt all the piers that were crumbling and left alone the piers that were still solid saving me money. He pulled trash out from under the house and fastened the electrical wires that were dragging the ground to the underside of the house to keep them from potential water intrusion. This is dirty, gritty, sweltering, back breaking work and they never complain or cut corners, ever. They will help you stay within your budget and allow you to phase the project if it looks like it will exceed your budget. They keep a very tidy job site, I came home each night to a very organized scene and they were finished when they said they would be finished. I trusted David so much, I left a key under my mat for him so he could enter the home while I was not there to get an idea where to focus efforts under the house. He placed delivered packages on my back porch so no one would steal them and he even performed complementary work that was completely unrelated to my foundation, like digging up an old fence post that was sticking up from the gravel beside my driveway...all on his own initiative. As a result of their stellar work, I have a rock solid foundation that will last for another 100+ years and that is a serious load off my mind. In my experience, it is extremely uncommon to find a contractor that has this much pride in their work. David, do you think you could start a school for contractors and teach them how it should be done? I won't hesitate to contact David if I need advice on how to remedy any problem I have with the house, I know he knows everyone in this town and can recommend the best plumber, electrician, iron worker etc. Thank you Lauricella and Sons for a job well done.- Kristi Luttrell. 6/29/2018
- In spring 2016 Mr. David and his sons did some major repair work to our house, replacing joists and sills. We were so impressed by the work and by the men themselves that we gave them an American flag as a sign of our appreciation. Not just any flag- it was given to my husband by congressman Richard Baker for military service in Afghanistan. We felt David and his sons would take care of it and give it a good home at their shop. They had other ideas. Mr. David felt he couldn't keep such a special memento, so he and his sons custom built a case from antique mahogany to hold the flag and certificate from Congressman Baker. When they delivered it we were floored! The level of intricate detail is beyond anything I've ever seen. The quality craftsmanship is obvious at a glance. This case is absolutely beautiful! We called the neighbors to come over and admire it! The most amazing part is, this is how Mr. David does every job. Every project they do gets this same phenomenal level of service, professionalism, and talent. Whether you need them to fix a door, or totally replace the flooring in your home, you can't go wrong with Mr. David, Dave, and Garrow.- Dana Biggs. 6/7/2018
- The first miraculous thing that will happen when you try to contact Lauricella and Sons is that your call will be answered or returned promptly. Within a few days of my call Mr. Lauricella came to my house to see what needed to be done. From the first conversation to the completion of the job David and his sons were honest, dependable, and very hard working. They showed up every day rain or shine (even freezing rain one day!). They spent 4 weeks working under my house. Their job is not an easy one but they were always pleasant, friendly, and professional. I now have a sound house and beautiful piers. A+ results! I highly recommend this father and sons team. My next big project is my front porch and stairs and the only call I will be making is to Lauricella and Sons. 5 STARS all the way! You're gonna love these guys!- K E. 1/7/2017
- I am really lucky that Dave Lauricella was recommended to me seven years ago. I own several properties, and have used him five times! The most recent job was two weeks ago when I hired him to install a new beam down the middle of my house, next to a beam that was sagging because it had been notched out when the air conditioning unit was installed prior to my purchase of the house. He does excellent work, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. This time, he tightened up all the other piers, and installed PVC pipe to channel the air conditioner condensation away from the house so it wouldn't cause erosion to the foundation. Then he checked all the doors to make sure they were closing properly, and adjusted a strike plate to the one door that needed it. Another time, he helped me install a soaker hose around the perimeter of the house to keep the soil tight. (This helps to keep the piers from settling.) Of the jobs he's done for me, two were to raise piers that had settled and to tuckpoint them where the mortar was disintegrating; one was to replace a termite-damaged sill; and one was a massive job in an attic in which he and his sons had to brace the wall with jacks as they worked their way from one end to the other, replacing the entire plate on which the studs sit, and replacing the lower portion of every stud, all of which had been severely compromised due to water intrusion. I trust Dave to have the experience and intelligence to know what needs to be done and to do the job right. But not only that, I just really enjoy his personality and have come to consider him as a friend.- Sandy Parker. 7/15/2016
- David Lauricella is the man to call for leveling, shoring and wood carpentry work on your residential house in New Orleans. A family owned business with his two sons who do all the work themselves. I had a floor board break through in my Uptown house, and was given estimates of total rework by other contractors of the sill, piers, foundation, door frames, deck, etc. David went under house pointed out the critical piers (leaning dangerously over 45 degrees) and missed by the others, as well as the lack of support on the house's bathroom expansion, the rotted wood under my french door was limited to only that one piece and not the whole underside of the house as other contractors suggested. David is a straight shooter, he will give you the key fixes needed to make your home safe and your structures sound. He'll work with your budget and make sure the priorities are the key focus, giving you from fundamental critical fixes if needed, to total rework if that's your goal, or even temporary solutions that give you more time to plan and fix it right. Just like that awesome mechanic for your car, he'll tell you what's right for your house and have a real conversation with you. Once the work started, they were fast expedient, taking only 3 days to fix/add piers, add beam supports, replace the rotted wood, and block and secure all the loose floor boards in the house. His sons are hard working, polite and very considerate. Having a classic New Orleans house, the floors are now sound, safe and secured, yet retain the charm of never knowing where the marble will roll when you drop it on the floor ;) but its better that than wreaking all the door frames, windows and walls just to have a perfect flat floor that will only shift on you later :D Give them a call!- Eric van Lydegraf. 7/2/2016
- David Lauricella & Sons did an excellent job on our house. They repaired all the piers under the house and did some joist repairs to make the foundation stronger. Each pier was wire brushed to remove old mortar. New mortar was applied by hand. His son, David, sawed wooden beams to fit around pipes under the house. Their craftsmanship was superior. They identified electrical and plumbing problems that could have resulted in serious damage to our home. Mr. Lauricella and his sons came everyday promptly at 8:00 am. They are reliable, professional contractors. My wife and I highly recommend you employ their services. They are a Family you can Trust.- kinglam1199 . 3/23/2015
